Please welcome back author Maggie Blackbird here to tell us a little about herself and her new book.
I’ve been reading romance since I was around twelve years old. I fell in love with the genre when I came across the young adult book Sooner or Later by Bruce and Carol Harte. Then my older sister passed me a copy of Johanna Lindsey’s Paradise Wild, and I was hooked. Throughout my teens and into my twenties, I read historical romance after historical romance. It’s still my fave genre to this day.
But when it came to writing romance, I decided to focus on Canada’s Indigenous People in a contemporary setting. I found these types of books hard to come by, so I thought, why not dedicate my writing to current issues the Indigenous People face, or a sexy romance focused solely on two people falling in love.
And that’s what I did for Dressed for Success, my interracial, May/December release through eXtasy Books, starring a silver fox hero and an Ojibwa heroine in the city of Thunder Bay. He’s her boss, and she’s his employee. Together, they undertake a business trip to Sault Saint Marie. What happens? You’ll have to read to find out!
