Featured Author Sherry Ewing

Sherry Ewing is my good friend and fellow Bluestocking Belle. In honor of her newest release, I will be featuring her post this entire week. Be sure to leave her a congratulatory comment.

Thank you, Rue, for having me on your blog today. I’m Sherry Ewing and I write historical and time travel romances to awaken the soul one heart at a time. If I’m a new author to you, let me tell you about how I got started writing.

I always wanted to be an author even at a young age but it wasn’t until a high school teacher told me my writing would never amount to anything that I pushed that idea away. For that reason, I didn’t go to college, started a job right out of school and met my first husband. We had two children but then he passed away. Thinking I’d never get married again, I gave away all the baby furniture that I no longer needed. Never say never! I remarried, had another daughter, but then divorced almost 13 years later.

It wasn’t until 2008 when I was talking to a friend of mine that writing came back into my life. He asked me what was stopping me from writing that novel I always wanted to compose. The answer was simple. It was me. With the light bulb going off inside my head, my daughters and I started creating character names for my very first story. It was a Regency entitled One Moment In Time that I finally self-published in 2018.

I had no idea how this one novel would spur off into a whole medieval/time travel series. I now can’t even begin to imagine not writing the stories that are inside my head. And the rest… as they say… is history!
